Let This Journey Begin!!!

This is the first of many blogs to come (Lord willing).  Perhaps an introduction is needed as this journey begins.

My name is Karen McKinzie. I am married to the love of my life, Terry. Together we have 3 children, who I love with every fiber of being. The four of them have proven the faithfulness of God to me over and over again. Thank you for walking this journey out with me and always, always being an encouragement to me. They are the best cheerleader anyone could ask for.

With my husband, we Pastor Hearts Harvest Church in Bethalto,IL. We have the privilege to serve some of the finest people ever. I know all Pastors say that but, they truly are ! We are blessed and highly favored to be placed with them. Thank you to each and everyone for your support as well.

God has a way to take us into places that are new, fresh and exciting. All the while, scary, intimidating, and humbling. This blog is all of these things. More importantly, this blog is just the beginning of what God has in store. To tell you that I am nervously excited would be an understatement. I know, I know, some of you may think calm down it’s just a blog. But I know that this blog is just the first door that He is taking me through. 

Because it is the first step, your prayers are greatly needed. I am learning as I go and being stretched to the fullness of my calling. This journey is truly a #ButGod endeavor. I will be asking for your involvement from time to time beyond prayers. Your prayers will always be needed.

Sorry this is so lengthy but it is the beginning to some great #ButGod moments. So it’s time to put our trays away and put our seats in upright position because we are entering new territory. I am hoping you all will come along with me!!!
