This wasn’t the intended first blog but sometimes God has a way of getting you started the way HE wants it done! If this blog seems like it is a lot of fragmented sentences know that you are getting this raw and real!

After a conversation with someone about getting the fight on for their family, I find myself stirred and ready to fight the enemy even more so for my own family! There are times in our lives that we need to be ready for the enemy when we least expect it. Isn’t it the motto of the Boy Scouts to “Be Prepared”?  We need to “Be Prepared”. If the world can embrace that concept, why aren’t we, as children of God ? We know when we accept Jesus as our Lord AND Savior that we have just enlisted into the greatest army there is to serve in. We need to be prepared! We need to get into a place that teaches the Word . Not man’s word but THE Word! The Word of God.  It is the very thing that brings us life, peace, guidance and everything else we need. One of the most significant things it gives us is that it equips us with the authority of Jesus Christ. That authority is ours for the using!

The authority that God gives to us is always to be coupled with faith.  We cannot be a people moved by what we see or the whispers of the enemy. Romans 4:17 As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed-the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.   We have that same authority. The enemy will do whatever he can to take you down. We can change our circumstances by calling those things that are not as though they are ! The enemy doesn’t care if you had a bad day. Someone who with a caring heart may decide to take it easy on you if you had a bad day. Not the enemy, for him, it is a perfect opportunity to advance his scheme to take you down. He is a liar and a pinhead! But we have authority over him. Get mad! Fight! Be prepared for battle! Put on God’s armor! For so long we have allowed the enemy to tell us who, what and how we are to be  as children of God. We aren’t defeated! We are victorious! We are more than conquerors! (Wrap your mind around that!)

Here is our challenge: change your perspective by listening to, reading the Word, watching something that speaks differently than your circumstance, leading you to Jesus. Find out what God has to say about you and your circumstances.  Get plugged into a church that teaches the Word and equips you on how to use that Word.

Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. Luke 10:19 – That authority is GIVEN to us.  Be Prepared so that you can have a #ButGod life!
