I recently read a book, honestly about half of it, but just the title made my knees knock together. The name of the book was, “If Your Dream Doesn’t Scare You, It’s Not Big Enough”. Job well done in creating title that terrified me to even open the book.
When God drops something in your spirit and it terrifies you, yeah, you really need to spend some time on your face in prayer. Now note that when I talk about being terrified or being scared, I am talking about that sense of awe of who God is and the fact that He is entrusting something to you. Something so big that you find yourself walking it out only to find yourself running back to God just to ask, “Are you sure?”…asking for a friend.
Now you may be wondering what in the world does a rubber band have to do with any of this. I am so glad you asked. A rubber band only serves its purpose when it is stretched. It accomplishes its purpose when it is under pressure. Isn’t that when our faith really grows? When we are stretched whether through circumstances, trials or God just taking us into new territories, that is when our Faith gets stretched ! Our faith gets stretched and begins to function in the way God intended .
I am so thankful for what He is doing. I am not going to lie, my knees knock together when I give thought of what He is leading me to do. So today I yield to Him and will allow Him to work with me. So stay tuned there is developments coming for #ButGod . I leave you with this thought, When was the last time your dreams scared you? When was the last time you were stretched?
Let me hear from you. How much are you like a rubber band? Stretch much?
