What a busy time of the year! Anyone else feeling the pressure of that “to-do” list? Life gets busy. Life can get complicated. It becomes a journey of twists and turns.

A couple of years ago my life went through a journey of twists and turns. A diagnosis of Melanoma and comments from the doctor turned my life onto a journey that was much unexpected.  Life is full of unexpected journeys. It comes down to how we handle that journey and what we do on it.

As a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, dependency upon Him is what impacts the journey. While hearing a report/comments that would rock anyone’s world, it is God’s report that I chose to believe. I knew I had to replenish, rebuild, restore, recreate the reservoir of the Word in my life. Not that I was depleted but there are aspects of our life that need to be reinforced or built upon. There’s always room for the Word. There’s always places for growth.

Once I got a battle plan laid out with the Word, my faith became unshakable. Isn’t it amazing how changing, adjusting what you hear and what you feed upon can change your fighting stance? It is amazing how we grow in areas of our life as we walk out the journey of fighting the good fight of faith!

So how do we fight the good fight of faith? First of all,  lift up your head! If our sight line is only what we are experiencing, that is all we will see! Let’s change our perspective! How do you change your perspective? Change what you put your ear to – intentionally. Intentionally turn the tv off. Intentionally turn on teaching for the fight of faith you currently find yourself in. Intentionally, surround yourself that will speak the Word over your battle/struggle. Intentionally – actions with purpose. Refuse to hear anything that speaks contrary to what God says.

God’s word is intentional. He is intentional ! He is an action with purpose! No matter what the journey is that you find yourself on, God is intentionally working on your behalf. The enemy has been defeated and the victory is at hand!

Father, thank you for your Word that is intentionally acting on my behalf. This journey that I walk let it be filled opportunities to grow my faith. I may not know the what or how of this journey, but I know the who. I know it is you God that is walking me through to the place of victory. I intentionally stand upon Isaiah 54:17, ” No weapon that is formed against you will succeed; And every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn. This [peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And this is their vindication from Me,” says the Lord.
