It has been a few weeks since the last blog post. Sometimes life has a way of pulling on your time and sometimes God has a way of causing you to be silent. In the silence there is a place of regaining strength, building up strength and trusting in the advocacy of Christ.
Our faith is a journey. Along the way the enemy will throw whatever he can to distract you from your faith. The enemy is all about rabbit trails. The story line of Joshua and Caleb from the Thirteenth Chapter of Numbers is a wonderful example of perspective. Twelve spies are sent in to check out this land known as the “Promise Land”. While ten of them can see everything that they were promised it would be (and even brought samples of the fruit), they couldn’t get past that which stood between them and the promises of God. But two of the spies, Joshua and Caleb, could see past the opposition.
How often are we caught up in what is in front of us that we cannot see what is beyond? What is our perspective? Our limited perspective doesn’t change the promises of God. He is still God. He will do and provide what He promises us. Our perspective may be clouded, overshadowed by what we hear or even what we see, but the God who spoke creation into existence is still the same God that is speaking into your life today.
You may be facing the giant of negative health reports, the bills that come in where in the natural there is no money for them. Whatever your giant is: lack, fear, confusion, uncertainty or even doubt – God is still the God of YOUR Promise land. Change your perspective.
‘The land we passed through and explored is exceedingly good. If the Lord is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us. Only do not rebel against the Lord. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will devour them. Their protection is gone, but the Lord is with us. Do not be afraid of them’” (Numbers 14:6–9).
See this land of opposition as an opportunity to grow and accept the challenge to take the enemy down and give God the Glory. Bills stacking up…Don’t miss the opportunity to financially give. You continue to tithe! Don’t let the enemy tell you well if you don’t you will go under! Check out the verse above don’t be afraid of the giant of the land. YOU will devour them!! Press into His Word! Change your perspective by changing what you feed upon! You will become what you feed on!
Prayer and fasting is another tool in our arsenal. As a church we are entering into a 21 day prayer and fasting time. Personally, we have some big giants to take down. The enemy is already defeated. There is nothing protecting those giants any longer. They have been called out, revealed, cancelled out and destroyed. Your perspective is that of Victor! Cross through and over into the Promise Land and take ownership of the land! You received the deed when Jesus died on the cross for you!!
Close your eyes and picture yourself receiving your reward and the deed to your Promise Land, all because you changed your perspective!!
Father, right now I pray for all those who are sitting on the outskirts of their Promise Land. We know that there is nothing insurmountable for you! Help us Holy Spirit to keep our eyes upon you. You will take care of whatever reports are from the enemy! We shall enter the Land knowing you have already gone before us and we will fight this battle with all boldness and confidence that you are our strength. Thank you Father that you WILL complete what you have started in us. No ploy, scheme or plan of the enemy shall change what God has Promised to His children. Today, right now, we will move past the giants and begin to bask in what God has laid out before us! Thank you Father for bringing restoration to us so that we can enjoy the spoils of our reward here on earth! Let it be done!
