Ephesians 5:15-17
15 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise,16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Thinking upon this scripture reminds me of the story of Noah. What an amazing man Noah had to be. The life setting that Noah lives in is steeped in evil. The days were full of evil. The hearts of the people were full of evil. You know they had to be if God’s heart was grieved and full of regret for creating man. Now that’s bad. But God saw one man and his family that was up to a task that only God could have orchestrated.
Think about the task of building a boat because of a flood was to come. A flood? Rain? What? This is something totally unheard of rain and a flood…but Noah in His obedience to the plan of God would see things and experience things that no man has ever seen before. How many times has God led you into a place where you have never been before? When was the last time God showed you His will and His plan with quick obedience we jump into action ? It took decades for Noah to complete the mandate set before him. Decades. Decades of scoffing, mocking, doubt and unbelief from those around him. Decades! I challenge you today to hold fast to what God has called you to do. Make good use of the time, be wise.
There will be people who will challenge, mock and scoff what you do for God. He will ask His people to do things that to our natural thinking is unheard of and unprecedented. Oh, how I love how He takes us out of a place of typical, predictable and comfortable. God is doing a new thing! Dare to be a Noah where you are right now. As an un-compromised, non-complacent , on fire, truth talker/walker, He will be taking you into un-chartered territories to change the world….it’s just a matter of time.
Now pray…..
Father, help me to walk the life of YOUR truth. Let me not be deceived by the lies of the enemy…the evilness of this day…Father, I yield myself to you to walk this life of truth for your Kingdom purposes. I purpose in my heart to follow the Holy Spirit to do the perfect will of God. I know I can only do these things through you! In Jesus’ Name!
