“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him in love. ” Eph.1:3-4
Can you think of anything greater than to be loved and chosen by God? Check out “with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places” in this verse reflecting how much God loves us. Part of us realizing who we are in Christ is to understand the spiritual blessing He has given to us. From this scripture we see that before the foundation of the world He chose us ” to be holy and blameless before him in love.”
Our identity in Christ is that we are blameless and holy before him. We are holy…set apart for his purpose. God loves His children so much that He looks at us as blameless and holy. Aren’t you thankful that He doesn’t hold our past against us. The lens of God see’s us totally different then the world. He looks at us through the lens of love. He chose you. He has set you apart for a purpose, a plan.
When we begin to understand who we are in Christ we will find that our own lens changes. What this means is that our perspective will change as our understanding changes. We will begin to see ourselves as God see’s us…blameless and holy.
Father I receive your love so that I can begin to walk out your plan and purpose of my life. Lord I look to you to help me understand the depth of your love for me.Father I know that as my understanding grows, my identity and authority in you becomes stronger. Teach me your ways Lord so I may grow in you. In Your Name..
